We turned a challenging site in Tulse Hill, London, into a stunning contemporary residential development with 22 homes.
Our efficient, high-density design maximises both private and communal open spaces, offering a mix of spacious apartments, duplexes, and mews houses. This project marks a significant milestone for us as our first large-scale residential scheme to reach completion, setting the stage for many more multi-unit projects we have in the pipeline.
The main accommodation is housed in a compact, cube-shaped block by the street, creating a new raised ground level with generous private terraces. A large landscaped communal area leads to three family-sized mews houses and gardens at the rear.
Our material choices respect the local context while adding a touch of vibrancy to the neighbourhood. The simple architectural forms are brought to life with high-quality textured brickwork, providing a tactile quality to the design. Playfully contrasting oversized windows with splayed metal reveals add character and animation to the façade.
We handled everything from design and planning approvals to stage 4 technical design and construction oversight, working closely with a comprehensive consultant team. We’re proud to have seen this technically complex project through to completion. And we’re not stopping there – we’ve already secured planning approval for a new single-storey rooftop extension and are gearing up for the technical design phase, employing sustainable modern construction methods and offsite fabrication.
“Resident have been a key factor in the success of The Marziale Development.”
