This project turned a blank canvas in Shad Thames into a warm, inviting home away from home, where individuality and joy take centre stage. From concept to completion, we guided our clients through a process of discovery, translating their unique experiences and preferences into a design that celebrates the things they love most.
Drawing inspiration from their South African home refurbishment, the Italian heritage of one half of the couple, their love for boutique hotels, and the industrial history of Shad Thames, the design blends bold ideas with personal touches. Art Deco—one of their favourite styles—features prominently, adding a sense of elegance and fun. Unbound by design rules, the clients embraced distinctive choices, resulting in a space that feels uniquely theirs.

The open-plan layout was tailored for entertaining, creating a seamless flow between key spaces. Guests can gather for pre-dinner drinks near the kitchen, enjoy a meal at the central dining table, and relax post-dinner while soaking in stunning views of the Thames.
Rich, layered materials set the tone, combining Art Deco, Industrial, and Italian influences with carefully curated vintage pieces, artwork, and photography. The result is a playful, yet sophisticated, home that reflects the clients’ personalities and their lifetime of adventures.
