We worked with members of the Oxford & Bermondsey Club to erect a memorial statue of able seaman Albert Mckenzie VC, designed by local artist and blacksmith Kevin Boys. Albert Mckenzie was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions in the Zeebrugge Raid during the First World War.
The statue, erected on what was Albert Mckenzie’s birthday stands upon a representation of the Zeebrugge sea wall, on a currently underused piece of land at a busy intersection in Bermondsey.
